    How's this from help from my local Petsmart. I was in this fish dept. (where else would I be) that when I over heard an employee tell a customer to use a plant light to control the algae problem in his aquarium.
    I couldn't let the customer make a mistake by using the wrong light. I told him that I would use a high kelvin light like a 10,000 k. However I also said that I am not an expert, and that he should look to a lfs or more importantly to 3reef for the correct answers.

    hes was most likley refering to a UV sterilizer, if not hes retarded (petsmart employee, if your reading this....im serious ;D).

    The light was a spectra maxx plant light. I saw the package myself.
