HPS vs. MH

    Anyone ever try to grow frags with an HPS( high pressure sodium) light? I have one and was wondering if it was possible. If not, could I just change out the bulb to a MH or would I need to change out the ballast as well?
    I know the HPS is more of an orange spectrum light as opposed to the bright clear white from a MH. I know HPS grows good plants, is algae all I would grow with HPS?
