I've been toying with the idea of starting up a Brackish tank. I havent done to much research on it yet, but i need some insperation to kick my butt into gear. ;D Anyone have some nice pics of their brackish tanks? I'd love to see them.

    Thanks!

I had a brackish tank a few years ago, it was pretty cool...at times I thought it was somewhat baron looking though...I guess at the time I didn't know of the "variety" of fish that you could keep in brackish...I only had a couple of silver scats, two tiny puffers, and a brackish snowflake eel...Another thing...I've seen scats full grown...HUGE...if I had any idea how big these things got...I wouldn't have purchased them...

Sorry I don't have any pics of my old tank...but do what your heart desires :)

More power to ya bud!!! and if you do get one running get some pics :)

I've always been curious about them, never seen one. They seem interesting to me...

Make sure you keep us posted if you go forward with it!

IMO brackish tanks are all about the fish. you probably won't like it if you don't like any of the fish.

such fish are mollies, guppies, puffers, etc

    Figure 8 puffers are hot.

If your tank is big enough and you have the inclination, archer fish baby. Nothing thrills the masses like water spitting fishes trying to hit their next meal.

Thanks guys, I've got a little while to go, the wife wants new wood floors in the living room before i can start another project. lol. so i have plenty of time to do the research and figure everything out about it. I figure if i can handle the SW side, this shouldnt be to difficult....just different.

and yes. i really like the figure 8 puffer. those things look awsome. but i dont know about the Archer fish. my luck i'd be napping in my recliner and get a shot of water right in the face.
