I came across the site before. Really good prices. But I think the items ship from Japan so the shipping usually cost a pretty penny. But still worth it IMO.

shipping is probly bucks. also some units are not available 110v (in stock) even though theres a option. this guy sells the units on ebay fyi.
those units may not have seperate cords for dawn/dusk operation as well. reflectors are crappy.

if you do order it, let us know how it is.

x2 on reflectors.. you'd be almost forced to use only uvl t5 bulbs with built-in reflectors to get the light down in the tank.

uvl t5 v-hor bulbs are the best type of bulb for fixtures with crappy reflectors since it blocks alot of the light behind the bulb and reflects it downward toward the tank. there pc-r's work good too. but if you have SLR or similar reflectors with these bulbs, you'll actually lose par.

That not necessarily true. I used to have a T5 fixture with a gull wing reflector and it did a decent job. However, I was not getting good color from my sps corals and they browned out. You could try those UVL bulbs with the built in reflector, but to my knowledge, I thought they just made them for T12 bulbs. If you get a T5 fixture, though, go with one with some sort of individual reflector. It will be well worth it and lighting is not the place to go cheap. I bought a 6x54w Tek fixture and it was a world of difference.

well IMHO these reflectors on this site are flat.. not even middle ridges.. I've seen par results with t5 v-hor bulbs somewhere maybe grimreaper, etc and par was better with crappy reflectors then with slr using same bulb. but everyones different. I noticed a big difference with there pc-r bulbs over standard pc bulbs as for light getting down into tank.
