Ya, right now he is military so they want to start training him in for the new one so as soon as he goes civilian he can go into it. Job after he gets out= AWESOME. He can transfer his retirment years into it too. Since he is a veteran as well, we get those benefits too. LOVE IT

Congrats to your hubby on the new job. Thats great news. For a while I did survey work on Vandenberg AFB, the money was great, prevailing wage for a surveyor=$$$$$. Now I am in water teatment, not as much money but a lot more fun.

Ya, he likes it because he can go out in nature. He will basically do what he does now but move down a few shops. :)

Being out in nature was the best part. I also did construction surveying, but I didnt like turning nice open areas into houses, malls, and big-box stores. I bet he gets to see some nice scenery up there in Montana.

He does. We live real close to the mountains so he gets to travel in there sometimes. :) He doesn't have to turn the area into houses, malls, etc. More like fix bridges that were built a long while ago. On base he fixes houses that are sinking, resurveys road, etc.

Thats alot of the same stuff I did, they were tearing down and rebuilding the old base housing so I had to locate underground utilities and stake out where the new houses were going to be. Pretty cool job and got to see a few rocket launches, I even got to do some survey work on one of the launch pads.
