Huge coral sang! Corals Placed and new pics 10/24

So my buddy who sells corals out of his basement rang me today that he has stuff priced to move, since he is getting out of the hobby (mostly) for a while. I picked up a ton of stuff for super cheap! Best purchases are a 8 inch colony of purple M. digitata for a whopping $10, a big red digitata about 4 inches around with a cool plate growth for $5, a blue purple birdsnest for $15. A colony of Purple Candycane for $10, a zoa piece with yellow skirts and orange disc that I've wanted for ever for $5, and a red gonnipora for $5 that hes nursed back to life. Best part is i know his system and he has never had and pests (other than bryopsis) so the frags aren't that much of a risk. Also, the wife paid for them and violated her own imposed, "NO MORE CORAL ALEX!!!!" policy. All in all a good day ton of coral practically for free, wife wants to put in a 210 gallon and learn more about the hobby

 

I did the same thing to my friend! They come in handy sometimes, don't they?

 

Sounds very sweet. Those colonies of digitata is the pictures I am looking forward to the most. Oh and the purple birdsnest.

You have an understand wife, I wish my bf was as good with me buying corals.

Sorry for the wait guys, it was the mother in law's birthday and we were making a big asian dinner. I had to make my famous Bombay Chicken and crab wontons so I didnt have a whole lot of time to take pics. The big purple digi colony didnt quiet make it out of the bag in one piece, so I kinda put it back together in-tank on the rock. It looks great under my T5's my wife didn't even know it was purple in the other tank lol. Everything else is great! Fully opening and tomorrow when the lights are full on I'll take some placement pictures. Unfortunately this is all I have right now!

My prostrada in the lower left has AWESOME PE and is coloring up!

Purple Candycane on the bottom yelling "FEED ME!" I also have to clean the glass unless john wants to donate some cerths for my photo cause ;-)
My red digi sorta plating guy plus a sick of purple monti to see who grows faster.
My Zoas im in love with and my tang saying, "What are you doing? Can I help?" Still surprised how well this pic turned out, must be getting better!
And my favorite. The birdnest I got which looks a little better in person but this pic does a good job. A light lavender body with teal polyps, hints of purple and green as well. Never seen one like this and I almost didn't but it for $15!
