    That's one massive mantis. Imagine getting hit by that thing when it's hungry! OUCH!

    Bob was almost 11" when she died. She was a peacock mantis! She was so awesome and I was not fearful of putting my hand in her tank and even rearranging her den...however holding one is just plan dumb and asking for trouble IMO! Why risk it.....

    You definately need to read their body language and get to know your mantis. I knew when I should not approach Bob. She would get on her back legs and do this stance and I knew not to clean her tank at that time. When she was molting, or when she had her egg brood I knew...other then that she was good
