Anyone know if I could house a small Humma Humma trigger in a 34 red sea max? Thinking he would be the only fish in there.

Yeah, on second thought maybe I shouldn't. It it were a non agressive reef safe fish I could move it to my 120 but we all know the humma is not.

They are nice looking fish, but can be mean. I have been to two different LFS where they have triggers and both have tried to bite my finger through the glass...

4 fish I wish were reef /invert safe. Huma, Lionfish, Puffers, and Clown trigger. Huma is really cool looking. Maybe someday I'll be rich enough to have several tanks.

Humma could live in a 34g for a few months but then would be to big for the filtration to keep up with, triggers are really messy fish and they get really big 10-12" trigger that can eat a lot of food and burn a lot of energy their stomachs are bottomless pits

My current tank is filled with aggressive fish. There are so many really cool ones. Unfortunately I have not been able to keep lions very long. I'm not sure why. But I love my puffer and lunare wrasse. They have so much personality. The puffer follows me all around the tank. I just added a Hawaiian black trigger. He is still somehat shy but is so graceful in the water when he is fully extended.

Maybe you could try setting up a hawaiian biotope. I have never heard of anyone doing that one before, but I have SCUBAed and snorkeled in Hawaii and the fish are incredible! Sadly, the coral there was nothing to write home about. But hey, you can get their state fish easily enough! Ironically, I have a framed painting of a Humuhumu right above my computer desk!
