Why do you need them soo bad?
Try placing some shell in your tank, they will congregate on those. Or arcti-pods work well for me

An amphipod couldn't be eaten by a mandarin dragonette. You were meaning copepods. (I'm going to edit the title of your thread so that you get the proper responses).

Will be tagging along to listen and maybe learn some myself. Ive had a Mandarin in my 125 for some time now. He is the only fish that is very frightened at my presence. All of my other fish are so tame they eat out of my hands and swim right through my fingers. I have gotten him to eat live brine but nothing else. He is skinny but seems to remain stable.

You can order pods, but they aren't cheap. Ocean Pods

You can get them muchhh cheaper on marine depot.. I bought one for like 11 bucks or so the other day along with some other things I was ordering. They came with no problems, and my fish are loving it!

They dont ONLY eat copepods. Contrary to popular belief or otherwise what gets repeated over and over on the internet.

I had that same fright you did when my tanks copepod population started decreasing.

One day I was feeding Live brine shrimp and saw my Mandarin in the bottom corner of the tank where some brine shrimp were congregating. He was gulping them up as fast as he could lock on to them.

Now, I take a fiberglass stick (from an old Kite) I mashed one end of it with pliers and the end of it split. Now I take frozen chunks of Brine Shrimp, or small Mysis shrimp. And place the frozen food in the split part of the fiberglass rod and send it down to where my Mandarin is.

He likes it so much that now when I pull out that fiberglass rod and run it along the bottom OUTSIDE of the tank, my Mandarin chases it.

I think the absolute best way to get him to eat those items is to put him into a in-tank refugium and offer him those treats. Start with live, then move to frozen. I did it without the refugium, so you probably can too. I only suggest it in case you have any other greedy fish that might get in the way of your Mandarin learning.

My Mandarin was wild caught/imported and has taken to frozen foods very easily.
