    that is the most stupid thing I have ever heard. I am an Avid Hunter and there are already too many deer in the woods that are hurt and die slowly after a poor shot during hunting season. If they actually let people *try* to spear animals, it will just result in more hurt and slowly dieing animals. very in humane if you ask me.

    On the other hand, i read this article in my home newspaper, and it is only one small group of people who is lobbying for this spear's use. IMO it will never happen. It took many years to allow hunters to use a crossbow in PA, and even that has a very limited season. It wont happen in my lifetime-- or at least i hope it doesnt.
