.....Is the Convention center flooded, by Castle in the Sands or The house of Welsh? I go to Ocean City for the Ward World Competition. Where in MD are you? Also do you know how Salisbury is holding up?

well the worst is over and the only thing that happened to us is one of our fences facing the sound went down, however there are much more extensive damages to a lot of people on my block, one neighbor lost almost her entire dock, my aunt lost all the floor boards on her deck, another neighbors gazebo went down.....there are fences down everywhere

Sounds like y'all made it out well enough. Just make sure you inspect you sheet rock for cracks. Normally only very strong storms crack sheet rock, Katrina was the only one that did it to our house, and it was much stronger than Sandy

my house is solid brick and almost 2' thick, nothing was penetrating my house i was more worried about the pool, boat, and other stuff in the yard and also something flying through a window

No, I wasn't talking about penetrating, it's when your house flexes from the stress, or water leaks from the roof you will find cracks all over the sheet rock. Brick probably won't flex, but we have a chain wall around our pool made of cinder blocks and we had to rebuild it after Katrina because it cracked too much and was no longer considered strong enough on it's own, although the contractor screwed us and it wasn't built properly. Now it's level and the cinder blocks are filled with cement.

A lot of times if they aren't built well, they just fall over. Cinder blocks aren't supposed to do that though.
