ok my lights went out... i have this lighting system...

Odyessea metal halide 48" fixture 692w

    specification:
    HOI lamp 250w 10000k (2)
    250w 20000k (2)
    CF lamp 96w actinic (2)
    bluemoon 6 LED

and my 2 main lights went out ( white and blue) so i took it apart to get new ones... now why would they both go out at the same time??? anyways get them out and one is cracked and one looks burnt out... weird ok, got new ones and they don't work... wtf

what could be causing my lights not to work? i have NO money for new system, AT ALL... i noticed a fan out? would that cause it not to work anymore, BECAUSE, my moonlights work fine!!

anyone know where i can get the specs for that, as i seem to have lost mine...

I would say it's probably the ballast.

I hate to say it, but BR is probably correct. If you have a friend who is handy with electronics, he can test if your power is going correctly to the ballast. A replacement may be your only option.

Your coral will be fine without light for a few days, so don't freak out just yet.

I have never opened a Odessey light.... no idea what their ballast looks like. It is however the hottest part of the fixture. The fan should be close to it, or have an air channel running to it.

Can you post a picture of the innards?
