Hurt fish

Hi, guys,

I woke up today and spooked at my tank, and noticed my Dalmatian Molly was swimming oddly. Then, when I turned the light on, I saw that he had bits of white mold like things all over him. I haven't had any new additions to the tank in 2 or 3 months. None of the other fish seem affected yet. His sailfish is shriveled up, and he's still not swimming right. It's a ten gallon freshwater tank, and the stocking is in my signature. He was fine yesterday

Any help is appreciated

 

Also, I can't set up a qt tank, but here are only fish in in there, but can I medicate? Even I if have to take him out, I really want to save the other fish. He was the first addition to the tank.

Just ordered some aquarisol, should be here tues or Wednesday, and also prob going to the lfs

 

It does not sound like Ich to me. From what you are describing it sounds more like velvet or fin and tail rot. A picture would help to diagnose.

 

+1 Ick shows up as small dots , you are describing sound more like fungus or something more severe. Now also do you have alot of debri floating in the tank, I had some like dust off the rocks covered my flame angel I freaked out thinking it was ick and it swam infront of a powerhead and poof all clean again

 

no...this was real. im not sure if it was ich but there were some cuts on him, and when i woke up one morning my female molly was fighting and harassing him pretty badly. he's in the breeder box for now, and is doing much better . i have stopped medicating the tank

Thanks, just looked at him again, and there are some serious bite marks on him, but i dont see why he would swim oddly and also his eyes glazed over for about a day or two but are back to normal after putting him by himself. Where do you guys think I should go after this? Back into the tank? I don't want him to have to go through this again, he looked horrible that first time. I guess I can just put him back in soon (1 weekish) and see if he does better with the other molly.
