Huuuuge Crab

    ...sorry to post AGAIN in ID this. I freaked when I saw this crab. It is huge, about 2inches wide body. Its not a hairy crab, not a porcelain, and not emerald, and thats as far as my knowledge goes.
    He is dark in colour with white spots, his claws are huge, disproportionate to his body really, they are freaking huge. He is out and about with the aquarium lights on...

    OK, i have to add, this is important, coz ive been googling crab with white spots, but HE DOESNT have white spots!!! they are just BARNACLES or something!!!! they stick up on his shell, so yeah hes just a big plain brown/grey/charcoal crab...

    I can't give a definite ID, but I would say bad crab. Get him out if he is out and about and put him in your sump or see if your lfs would want it.

    My guess would be
    Cancer antennarius or Xanthid crab
    The black claws are the key I think as they are distinct.

    Take a closer look at some of these.
