Hybrid or Variant Orange Skunk

Far left & right photos are of the same hybrid/variant orange skunk and center photo is
that of a normal orange skunk.



At the time of collection this specimen was with a colony of 15 Ocellaris and two other similar orange skunks the dominant pair of this colony appears to be a Thiellei and Ocellaris pair.

I cannot be certain if this is merely an Orange Shunk Clown with a variant thick white stripe or a hybrid offspring from the above mentioned pair.

The Thiellei appears to be about 4.5" and the Ocellaris slightly above 3".(objects seen through a face mask underwater generally appear 25% larger)

Except for this specimen the colony was left untouched for me to return later this summer to further document and if I'm lucky perhaps find a couple of Thiellei amongst them.
