Ok, I have the hydor flo on my BC29 and all was good in the world up until a few days ago when it decided that it won't stay in the output area and instead wants to shoot out like a torpedo.

It seems clean, I've taken it apart rinsed and re-installed.

I need a better alternative here folks.

How long have you had that hydor flo for also what size pump are you using? Cause they are only rated for 80-310 GPH that might be it?

I've only had it about three weeks, maybe a month. It's on the stock BC pump which is 240 gph if I'm correct.

Yeah its 243. I dont know why maybe something snapped off? I have had mine on my 12G aqua pod for awhile about to take it off using a mj1200 feel like it cuts the flow a lot. I just googled your problem and other people said they could not find an adapter that was tight enough for the 29 bc so they use teflon tape or super glued it.

Yep, I had the exact same problem. I ended up just super gluing it into place. Never had a problem with it since.

Glue it, I have ran those things for years, I use Christy's Red Hot Glue but cyanoacrylate will work too.

    thanks all.

Now for the dumb questions, how do you glue something underwater or do you drop the water level first?

I just ran the glue around the plug, after I dried it off, and quickly slid it into place. You have a few seconds before it completely sets up. Didn't lower the water level or anything.

I would drain the water and dry it with a towel then use some super glue gel. I have never gotten something to stay with gluing out of water and putting it back in. Hell do it next wc or do a wc I am sure you could use one. (I know I could lol)
