    Here it is.

The impeller is similar to the Koralia Nano's where the impeller rides on a metal shaft. Of course the cover's are beefier.(See AZ Rats Mod for these)http://www.3reef.com/forums/filters-pumps-etc/hydor-has-upgraded-145231.html

Magnet propeller and plate are one unit and do not come apart as far as I know.I tried removing the prop but didn't want to break it.

There is no longer any bushing on the plate and it merely acts as a guide to keep the impeller/prop centered.

The magnet itself appears to be one piece. I had two of them expand like a football because the magnet was put together in strips.

So, the question to be answered: will they run correctly long term on a wavemaker?

    Your welcome...;)

Good question.;) I know that they do have there problems but for me the Hydor PH's have been just fine and last a long time.Once you know what to look for and how to fix it. I just started using them with The Smart wave and with the old style covers I never had any clicking.I have noticed since switching to the thicker covers at least one makes a click when it starts but it apparently doesn't seem to effect my fish and it certainly doesn't bother me.Overall I would rate them a good product for the money and thie customer service/support has been a breath of fresh air. They are a very strange company to say the least though.
p.s. Yes Jerry the magnets are 1 piece.

I have one 750 and two 1050s with that same design. On the inside of the frame where that metal shaft comes out theres a loose grommet that will come out while your cleaning it,took me a minute to figure out where it came from. Just a heads up

I use mine on a natural wave timer on about 30 second intervals for the last 6 months and none of mine have broke... yet.
