Ive read the reviews and noted they had a recall some time ago for the koralia 2 and 3s and they seem like a decent powerhead. I plan to keep it constantly running.

    any opinions here?

Hey! I've got 2 x Koralia 2 in my 75gal. They run smoothly! The only maintenance is related to removing from time to time algae that may get caught in the grill. However, I know that some people had problems with hard-starts! It will easily break after few attempts, therefore if you would like to plug your koralias to some sort of wave maker (like reefkeeper) go for tunze or other pumps. I hope this will help a bit!

I have a 3...have had it for about 6 months now...no problems at all. I do run it constantly though.

I am really happy with it honestly

I am running 2 #3s and 1 #2 constantly in my 120 and I love these powerheads. They provide the best water movement around for the price I would highly reccomend them. All my friends that I told to get them are very happy as well. They do have that "hard" start sometimes so they might not be the best option for a wavemaker and I have had to remove the outer housing to clean off some algae but only once in the past year.

    Thanks for the input folks.
I am going to buy one of evilbay right now.. they are around 25$ plus 10$ for shipping for a koralia 2 which I figure would be great for a small 55gal

I am running a #3 and #4 in my 90g. I love them. They replaced 4 maxi-jets. As soon as I put them in I noticed a difference in the coral and fish. Get two #2's for your 55g.

how do you guys direct your flow through your tanks to ensure maximum water movement?
