Okay, so I bought one of these for a 20 gallon long. With 600 gph do you think its going to be way too much flow? This tank is basically going to be reef and invertebrate with a few fish.

That would mean the tank was turning over 30X an hour and most recommend anywhere from 40-60x for a reef tank. Will there be anything else moving water in there (filter, skimmer, return, etc.)

Well I've got two Aquaclear 10 power heads that do 125 gph already in there that were for the cycle. I've got a filter and I'm upgrading to an Octopus BH-100F in a couple of weeks.

You should be good to go, and this is just a general rule, not an exact process. You want as much flow as you can without creating a sandstorm. More flow=better! And you want to make sure there are no dead spots with stagnant water.

It might be a bit much. I'd not point it downward if I were you or you might get a sand storm. Mount it on the side, about 5" below the waterline, and point it straight across the tank, slightly upwards.

No, you should be ok with that pump. I would personally add another.

I second that. Get some water movement on the surface as a bonus....good for gas exchange.
