Hydor Koralia Magnum 8

I bought myself an early Christmas present....a the new Magnum 8 pump that pumps over 3400 gph. It is an awesome pump! I first installed it in the back of my tank. I turned it on and water shot up over the front like a tidal wave....so I moved it on the side and it is working great. Really helped my flow problem.

But OMG! My male blue jaw trigger has absolutely found his purpose of life. Forget the female blue jaw....he has found Six Flags in my tank. It cracks me up...he swims upto the pump head on and then right when he gets to it, he turns his body sideways and gets thrown about half way across the tank. He then rights himself and swims harder to it, turns himself sideways and does the same thing. He has done this now for the last 3 days since I got it.

The female trigger has done it but she is not as obsessive as he is. And the first night I got it there was a line up of fish to do it. Both triggers and my hippo tang and my other tang all lined up for the ride...my hand to God! I wish I had a camcorder to show you all!;D

 

Haha i saw one of those in the lfs the other day what size tank do you have?

 

I have a 135g tank. Right now I have it on the left side of the tank pointed a little towards the center front of the tank. I still have a Koralia 3 on the right back side pointing towards the center front of the tank also. Polyps of all look like they have opened up nicely. I had the maxi-jet mods all over the tank and could not stand them anymore

 

I would love to see a video of the fish in action at six flags. That would be awesome.

 

Yeah, my tang LOVES the powerheads! Fun to watch as well. Those are nice powerheads! Merry Christmas!
