Would two hydor koralia4s connected to a ocean pulse duo wavemaker be overkill on a 56Gal with SPS? Would I be better going for two hydor Koralia3s?

i say go for the 4's. I got 2 K3's on a ocean pulse also alternating and its adequate but I still want more flow and all I got is softies in a standard 55 with fish . I don't think the K4's will over do it at all especially for SPS.

they are not designed for a wavemaker. hydor makes a 12v ph that requires its own hydor wavemaker.

I would love to run the 12v for the energy saving alone, but the wavemaker unit that it requires costs 5 times the price of one pump!
