3reef!!! Im buying my Christmas gift for my girlfriend. Well shes paying Im not so Im going for the Hydor Wavemaker 4.

I need your opinion on the hydor wavemaker4. Not too many people have it and its fairly new. Just give thoughts on what you see if you havent seen one in action. I havent seen it but it looks like a great wavemaker.

I was plan on having two controllable k4's and the light sensor so it knows when to put in sleep mode and to return to normal programming.

I wasn't sure about the hydor 4 with controller, I decided that if I was going to spend that much money I might as well pay a bit more and get the vortech mp40. I did and it's brilliant, glad I spent a bit more and got one!

I had put some thought into that.... But I really like the looks of this toy and what it can do for me.

2 local reefers have these, and they work flawlessly.

You will be very happy with the korallia wavemaker device. I just wish it were not so expensive.

Sorry, can't help with exact experience but for the price last I checked I saw no reason not to go with Tunze or Vortechs.

I think they are over priced for what they are :-/.... I like the way hydor created the central controller. I could add up to 3 reasonably priced powerheads with a light sensor on the hydor. Ive seen the vortechs in person and they wreeeeeek of quality. But 4hundred something for one mp40 . I need at least two powerheads on top of my return. and 600 or 800 bucks compared to hydors system at about 400 somethin is akmost a no brainer ;).

Even if I had the money Id probably stick with hydor
