i have started a few differnt threads and i keep seeing the same questions but no real answers to the situation... I 2 am experiencing a hydroid outbreak. thanks to the common hitchiker thread i have id'd the pest. but there are many asking how to get rid of these pests. I do have a peppermint shrimp in the tank and serpent star. SO HOW DO WE GET RID OF THESE PESTS? is there any one good way?

That is not a colonial hydroid (which are bad because they sting corals).

The type you have is common in newer tanks, doesn't sting corals, never makes it to medusa stage, and the population will automatically drop. If you don't like the looks of them, you can use a glass magnet. I would just leave them be.

they dont really bother me being in there. i have read and in a few of my posts when a hydroid came up that others have asked how to get rid of them. I figured someone with alot more exp then me( my tanks 2 months) would b able to help.
like i stated i started this thread not just formyself but there has been quite a few others asking as well. thanks inwall.
