I know everyone suggests using a refractometer but since I have an Apex controller I am thinking about purchasing the salinity probe and module for it. Anyone have any experience with salinity probes?

The RKE Blogs have not been very kind to the salinity probes...so, I have yet to add one into the system I have today...as well, I have yet to be convinced of the value of logging this parameter more than weekly...but you could establish an alarm to warn you of a make up system failure...

Besides, checking the SG with a refractometer once a week takes only seconds and is very accurate...
