Do you make sure he gets food? Usually the goby helps with that.

What type of goby do you have? Do they typically pair up?

I can't imagine getting a pistol out of an established tank, that would be a nightmare.

Took my Hi Fin Red Banded Goby about 3 weeks to even find my Red striped pistol shrimp.

It was like a Romeo and Juliet story. Until one day I got tired of them being idiots on the other sides of my small 29g. So I picked up the rock the goby was loving under, he was very confused and shocked to be all of the sudden "naked" i took a net and sort of guided him over to the rock the pistol shrimp was living under. after that they have been a match made in heaven. definitely my favorite thing to watch in the tank

;D you did a saltwater arranged marriage. I need to get a new ywg but I'm almost afraid it would change the shrimps personality too much if I do.

well, maybe. but its always a good relationship.

i watch the goby grab flakes and bring them to the shrimp and the shrimp is constantly re arraging his rock collection and changing the direction of the entrance of his borrow. very fun pair to watch!
