My mother needed to go to the LFS to buy some new fish and she asked me to come along. Knowing how bad I can be in there (and cause I just bought 10 acro frags yesterday) I did not bring my purse inside...no money, cant get anything!;D WRONG!

I am looking around and I see this red fish in this one cube...I immediately fell in love with it! I recognize it as a scorpion fish (which for some reason I LOVE those fish...so ugly they are cute). I am looking, and looking and the guy came over and said "I knew you would want this! We all were betting that you would be the one that got it"

I asked them to hold it for a couple weeks so I can get my tank back up and running...which I literally JUST took down 2 weeks ago to make my life simplier! It is only eating live food so that meant I had to put up my other tank that I just took down for a feeder tank.

It is a scorpaena miostoma...very awesome looking, red with white spines. It was funny, they placed a skull and cross bones on his tank and wrote "Caution Poisonous" so the employees knew he was in the tank as he tends to hide a little. Of course my mother started yelling ;D at me....you go for all those dangerous fish....you have a peacock mantis, a gigantic puffer, you had an ambon scorpion and now this......dont you call me when it gets you! ;D

I cant wait to get him!

Pffffff. I thought I was brave having a Sea Apple. But you are insane. And I LOVE IT!!!!!! A most excellent purchase. Aren't you the one with the one strike and your out fish? Seems to me you are. Now you can blame your mother for bringing you to the LFS in the first place. That will go over well.

They can be expensive. One day a customer asked one of my former partners for a particular piece of live rock in a display tank. The moron actually ripped the tank up for this customer. However, doing this freaked out my mystery wrasse and a helfrichi firefish which go for $180 and they went and hid.

That customer got $380 worth of free fish with an $8 live rock purchase.
