this morning i just scrubbed my rocks free of GHA in a 5 gallon bucket that thankfully was ro/di sw not ro/di fw, when i was doing my aquascape i was getting worried that i did not see my McCoskers Flasher Wrasse during the entire aquascaping. i was really getting worried because during the last time i reaquascaped when a fish didnt turn up they wound up dead. So just now i dumped the 5 gallon bucket filled with dirty water in the tub, i was watching the water pour out and at the bottom of the bucket i noticed this red thing i looked closer and it was Flash  he wasnt moving at all or breathing i was getting really worried so i quickly scooped him up in my hand and he started doing htat fish squirming thing that fish like to do and just plopped him in the tank and he darted off into the rocks, i was so relieaved. Deffiently a scare and i hope he will be ok

so i guess the lesson here is check your rocks for fish before you scrubb them or reaquascape

When I was trying to get rid of my sixline I had to pull apart the entire tank and when I had like 1 rock left I looked on the floor and there he was. He was fine after I put him in the goodbye bag though. Didn't really care though he beat the crap out of my picasso clown and killed him :-/

Take this as friendly advice. I would not be intruding into the tank as much as you are, especially after introducing a new fish. You are creating too much stress. Could be the reason you are losing fish. Leave the tank alone, allow it to season and go through the inevitable cycles and outbreak of algae.

Agreed. I've commented once about you aquascaping too much which may have resulted in the death of your other fish. I don't see good things happening with your tank if you don't stop adding animals to it and messing around with it, especially considering that you don't seem to want to learn about the chemistry aspect of the hobby (I know I swore that I wouldn't mention this again but I can't help it!). :)

I agree with the two above me. Nothing good come about mucking around in your tank constantly. You rally shouldn't be continually aquascaping like you are, even if it's to scrub rocks.

To scrub GHA under water simply drill a hole in a tooth brush and attach some airline.

+many more for the stop tinkering with your tank crew. Every time you reach into your tank you seem to kill or damage something in it. Leave the tank alone.
