Was this a new tank setup or was it bought used? If the tank was used you may want to get a copper test to see if any copper shows up. Copper will get adsorbed into the tank itself and leach back into the water over a long period of time, and subsequently kill all invertebrates/snails. You may also want to check with your local pet store to see if they can test the water for you so you don't have to but a test kit.

Last thought do you have a grounding probe in the tank?

Betting copper. Would also highly recommend a ground probe. Get that temp up to 78-79.

I noticed in your center picture you have a metal clamp holding on your sponge to where the water comes in on your sump, you may want to change that to one of the plastic ones like this:

    Aquarium Plumbing: Plastic Clamps

The metal will rust pretty quicly with the salt water soaking it and you don't want the rust to get into the tank.:(

Did the tank cycle originally and properly, and how long ago it cycled, if it did? I agree with the grounding probe possibly killing off the snails. The larger ones can starve if there's not enough food for more than one or two in that size tank but it would take a bit longer IMO. K+ for check on the copper too

Thank you all for the info! I will remove that clip ASAP and replace with plastic. As for a copper test I will get one soon and test it out. But as for a ground probe.. not really sure what that is. I will do some research but if you have a good link please share it with me. thanks

I looked into the ground probe and have ordered one. It should be in soon. I will run over to the LFS in the AM and grab a copper test. I will let you guys know how it goes. But just a side note my emeralds and skunk are still alive and if I do find copper in the tank what should i do?

Sorry I can never put all my thoughts into one reply so heres another quick question. All my tubing is clamped with metal clamps but most of these are external and not getting wet. Is it ok to use metal clamps if they are not really near my water and are on the outside of my tubing? I would think it is but just asking.
