That is rough. My least favorite thing in the hobby is when a fish dies and you don't know why. Im very sorry. Karma

Sorry to hear that cannedmulder. Maybe it was just his time to go to the big pond in the sky.

Christy called me today really upset about this fish asking what I thought and I thought I would share it with you guys on here. I honestly think this fish is a cyanide caught fish. Yes she had him for 4 months or so but it takes cyanide a long time to do what looks to be totally sudden. I've seen this more than once. Now this is no fault of any LFS as there are laws in place to prohibit the use of cyanide to catch fish leaving the LFS in the dark. I work at a LFS and trust me, we do every thing we possibly can, as do most lfs, to make sure our specimens are up to par. What I'm trying to say is, this is an awful practice but it happens unfortunately. Christy I am very sorry for the loss of luke and really do hope you can find a replacement for him.

I doubt it was cyanide as it was mac certified!

I did cry over this fish. He was named, Luke. Since he was a convict tang he was named after the movie Cool Hand Luke! I have a hard time thinking it was his time because he still was very young but it is what it is and yes....you can call me crazy but he is burried with my other pets in our backyard. Don't know that I would do that forevery fish but he was special! He will be missed and thank you for all your thoughts! I have already gone to my LFS where both JPtrson and Daniel work to get another and they are looking into ordering another for me! I plan on doing the Convict tang for the FOTM for December! Great tang if you are in the market for one!
