    Hello,
I just set up my first tank a few days ago. I bought this tank off an individual and everything come with the tank. Including this Lionfish. I just noticed that it has several white spots on it. I am new to this but I tried to research ich. This looks like that might be whats on him. I sure do hope not. No sooner than I get into Saltwater, I would be getting out of it. He has been eating just fine and don't show any ill effects. PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks

I agree with Corailline. Just the fishes markings. Congratulations on the new purchase though!

That is not ich. It is part of the bone system on the fish. It is attached to its spines on the side. Completely normal. My lionfish had them and all other volitans i saw had em. Completely normal.

    Thanks

Thanks you everyone for your responses! It is such a relief. I have just been uptight a little this first week of it up and running. I can already tell I am going to be a reefer for life. It is and addiction for me already!!! Again, Thanks for your responses.

    +1 ^^
Ich is really easy to treat even if you did have it. next time you find a problem in your tank and believe me there will be a ton, first thing to do... RELAX everything can be fixed or dealt with.
