Doing a slow burn right now! As I said we had a major leak in my 135g aquarium where over 200g of water was dumped in my living room floor (We were working so we could not take it down so had to dump extra water in the tank to keep everything covered over 11 hours while we were at work) We worked 7 straight days sopping up water and shampooing the carpet in order to try to prevent mold from forming. Paid $100 renting a professional water extrator. Moved everything into a 40g tank that I had in hopes of trying to save some things.

We have not had a chance to start working on the tank yet because of our schedules.

WELL, yesterday I had an outbreak of RTN in my tank that wiped out all my montis and a couple of my acros. NOW MY CARPET IN MY LIVING ROOM IN FRONT OF THE TANK IS BROWN WITH MOLD! It is permantly stained and ruined! I have buckets with powerheads all over my small place with LR and sand. It reaks in here because of all this!

What I am doing the burn over is the store that sold me the setup (now mind you I worked there for couple months last year right as it closed down and and did not get paid for over half the time and Curt ran it and left BEFORE I BOUGHT THE TANK) a shortcut and ordered one type of tank and another type of stand. Curt told me a while ago that the stand and the tank did not fit, but I guess I was too dumb to realize it, and it did not sink in until today when I was looking at it and can see how it is not in the stand at all, and all that it is supporting the entire tank is the little black edges of the tank that is sitting on the edge of the stand. Now that the sand is out of there you can really see that they were too dumb to even place the tank evenly on the stand! There is a part that is set on the stand edge, and a part that is sitting more on the inside of the stand. So now because of this JA trying to save a few bucks and use whatever they had lying around the store, I am screwed! (AGAIN I STRESS CURT WAS LONG GONE BEFORE I BOUGHT THIS TANK AND THIS THING WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED IF HE WAS STILL PARTIAL OWNER) He was smart enough to know that the other owner was a freaking moron who was just in it for money and get his name out of there!

I am not going to put this tank back up, I will be piecing out all the crap that I bought with it and I am done! I will focus on my 28g tank and set that back up as a reef tank and have my predator tank and that is it! Maybe with the money I get from selling the crap from my tank I can replace the carpet in here! We both have been snotting around here lately.......... To think of all the thousands of dollars that I spent on that tank to wind up like this!

I know I am going over the edge, and need to calm down, but........
$1000 new carpeting, $100 rental charge for the water thing, hours and hours of our labor trying to clean it up, Several hundred dollars worth of corals dead or dying (my large lava coral has RTN now), at least $5000 worth of stuff including the tank, lights, equipment that I cant use now.............. BEATING THAT GUY OVER THE HEAD...PRICELESS

RTN= Rapid Tissue Necrosis (Takes a perfectly good piece of coral and kills it in a couple days) and bacteria in the water just loves going around and attacking other corals!
