I'd be mad too...for the RTN you can try and frag off the good parts of the corals to save them...worth a try anyway.

I have an AWESOME 135g tank for sale ;D The leaking has stopped!

I will have to go through the stuff this weekend and figure out what I am going to keep and what to sell. I dont think I will ship any livestock as they are already stressed enough right now. I have lost ALL my SPS corals with the exception of my large lava chalice that looks like RTN is settling in. My LPS looks like it is starting in on RTN. I have lost a couple duncan frags that I had fragged to RTN, the mother colony is doing well. My acans seem ok. The sea apple is doing well, and my psychedelic cucumber is fat and pretty! I did find my midas blenny that I thought was dead today! I am going to keep him and my mystery wrasse, will have to find home for my bellus I have 2 36" 250W outer orbit lights, chiller, eshopp sump, uv sterilizers, BRS dual reactor, etc.

I think I will have to wait a couple weeks at least before selling anything as "we are discussing" my desire to close this tank down. (LOL) I will miss it greatly, but I am not in a place to rebuild right now!

discussing is the best thing to do right now IMHO
I appreciate and understand that as of right now, your sick of the sight of the thing due to the upset it has caused you

but time will take the edge off these feelings and a hasty desicion to get rid, may be regretted later

Well, the owner of that LFS has pretty much lost everything. After I left, he ran that business into the ground (plus 2 other businesses). There is no fish store left to even do a Google review on. If you are a good person, bad things still happen on occasion but things have a way of balancing out for the better. If you're a bad person, eventually things catch up with you. Let's leave it at this....I would much rather be me than Steve right about now. Karma has noticed him and Karma is TICKED.

As far as Melissa's tank is concerned. I can mod that stand with $20 worth of wood and $5 worth of paint. Once the tank is repaired, there will no longer be the same stresses on the seams and this leak will never happen again. Seeing as how I can buy any fish or coral from anywhere in the world at cost to help her re-stock this tank, obviously she's going to want to set this tank back up again.

yeah I agree....It is just soo frustrating to see this entire mess and watch my favorite pieces of coral die in front of me! In the back of my mind right now I know I still want to keep the tank up and will regret it down the line but right now it is so hard! Dont misunderstand me.....I TRULEY APPRECIATE THE DISCUSSION and need to wait before I do any rash. Thanks everyone for the support and allowing me to vent!

I am sooo sorry to hear about this... that is really f... up! I also spent about the same amount on my tank and it just recently crashed and I also lost about 500bucks .... all my fish except my two clowns and most corals died, so I can somewhat identify. But of course nothing compared to your situation. Best of luck to you! And keep in touch!
