I would've flipped all kinds of B-word switches if I were you. Threatening letters etc etc.
Lol. I'm just kidding. Everyone's right karma will bite him hard when he least expects it.
Don't sell for the wrong reasons. If you want you can sell and go bigger and better.;D
I'm so sorry for your loss. If some of my zoas die, I throw a fit I could imagine how you are feeling about your SPS mother colonies.:-/

I understand your being extreemly pissed and wanting to get rid of it all completley, been there several times inthe last 2 years my self. But I think that you thinking about it is the best tack to take, give it a few weeks and make that decision, by then you might feel different.

But, if you do decide to set it back up let me be the first to offer some free frags to get started back up. You pay postage and I supply the free stuff ok.

I look at it this way, I had lots of people in my club willing to give me some frags to get started so its kind of a pay-it-forward situation, they helped me so I would like to help you....

Ouch..... I'm so sorry.. I hear yeah. I have hardwood floors in a brand new house. I'd be a little more than upset if this happened to me. Keep your head up buddy!

You don't, basically you try and cut off all the bad parts or maybe I should say all the good parts and put them in another tank.

I feel bad that this happened to you. I have balked for two years now at bringing our 300-gallon "Tank-O-Saurus" from the garage into the living room for this very reason:
Even though is it now full of liverock and livestock, out in the garage it sits nonetheless until I can come up with a viable "water-proof-hazard-resistant" battle plan to put in place.

It is all too easy to forget that 200-gallons of water @ 8.5lb per gallon equals 1,700 pounds of watery-just-waitin'-to-mess-up-your-day carnage.
Add live rock and equipment and you easily have a TON of product being held back by a mere fraction of an inch of GLASS!

But for some strange reason, call it a "Fish Aquarium" and we somehow lower our guard with some suedo-soothing sigh of relief believing that the Fish Gods will watch over us. Well..... ITS STILL 2,000 POUNDS OF STUFF BEING HELD BACK BY GLASS AND A LITTLE SILICONE SEALANT. Heck, it isn't even GLUE for gosh sakes (really!) :-/
Why all the drama? Well, I'll tell you.

Around these parts we have a term, or adjective to be exact, called "Kevinate" (Hi, my name is Kevin by-the-way 8) nice to meet you) This silly little term was coined by a few of my friends who, upon witnessing my flavor of building technique, decided to come up with a term to describe thier tongue-in-cheek way of saying I overdo things...hence, I "Kevinate" things
    if I may digress:
If something called for a 2x4, I'd use a 4x4....if a 3" nail sufficed, I'd use a 4" long drywall screw... if the directions called for a simple butt joint, I'd joint it, glue it, clamp it, and run a fastener through just for good measure.......you get the picture? ;)

So.....How does this help you now? Abosolutely ZERO I'm afraid (sorry) Except to say, please learn from this experience by:
    1) get more involved with these things and rely less on other people. If you don't understand the mechanics behind something, Seek it, Research it, Learn it! YOU are the king of your castle, and trust me, there are a hell-of-a-lot more JOKERS out there than there are Dukes-Of-I-Care! I don't trust other people's urgency for MY needs any further than I can toss a Zimbwian Midget Mountainlion Wrestler, ya know what I mean? (whoo, now there's a mouthfull)
Would a contractor use 4" drywall screws if I instructed him to do so? Hell no! The minute I turned my back he'd be back to pounding nails (true story)
    2) Be VERY congnitive of what you are purchasing. Ironically, I think we place more attention to purchasing the right lawnmower than we do at inspecting a vessel designed to hold back 2,000 lbs of water in our living room! This is just me, but I don't think I could ever trust a used glass tank, period.
    But most of all...
    3) "Turn a bad into a good". Don't dwell on what happened....Move up to bigger and better things as a result of it. I realize you are very Mad right now, but you are NOT done, trust me. As they say in this hobby: "you can check out anytime you like, but you can NEVER leave!"
Besides, this is God's way of telling you he wants you to get a 400-gallon tank next, don't you listen??? ;D
