ok its not coraline, its not algae, best way to describe it is just like a clear foggy film that will not come off, its covering about a 1/4 of the front panel. tried razor blades, tried every scrubber imagined, the tank is empty, any suggestions ill try it. thank you

it where fresh water was in the tank and dried out... windex seemed to help me at one time but you can do bleach and make sure to wash it out really really well.

once filled with water though you woont be able to see it ;D

tried vinigar water, tried straight vinager, tried bleach, tried windex, honestly tried everything short of paint thinner and gas. and you can see the haze when its full of water, its annoying. if it was completly covering the glass, it would be no big deal but its only on like 25% of the front so u can see the difference. thanks again, keep em comming, im thinking maybe put a torch to it for a second? i donno

How old is the tank? was it scrubbed too aggressively or too abrassively and it is scuffed maybe?

Sounds like calcium deposits on the glass.

I was thinking the same thing, or possibly, chemical damage. Some chemicals will temporarily soften the surface of glass then leave a permanent foggy appearance. Doesn't sound good though, if windex, vinegar, and even bleach can't remove it.

Hope I'm wrong, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

Don't do that! Muratic acid is used to etch glass... So, I feel that is a bad idea, but that's just me... LOL.
