Ok so Im starting a new frag tank, and I want LEDs but cant decide which ones to buy. I like the Orphek 156w but dont like the price ($899). I like the Ecoray 112 but Im not sure about the 1 watt leds($500). Also Ocreef has their cree x-series 72 watt but the price just jumped 300 to ($729) The par readings on all of them are off the chart.......if there correct. My frag tank is 48x24x12 and I want to be able to grow anything! Thanks

Look into AI SOLs, they are $399.99 and highly recommended.

+1 to the Ai sols 3-4 of them will give you the most coverage. I would hang them short-ways over the tank.

The Maxspect Mazarra is another option. But I believe pricing starts at $699 for the two panels and basic setup.

I was just in the same boat and finally decided on AI Sol units based on all the info/reviews I saw about them, the only problem you will have with them is finding them in stock somewhere because there was a huge demand for them with the recent price drop.

Don't have them yet, that's how I knew about the big demand ;) The place I ordered from estimated them to be about a week out so I should have them by the end of this week. If you do a forum search for "AI Sol" you will find a ton of threads about them, including some that compare it to some of the others you were considering, that's where I got all of my information.

Oh, and most people recommended the Sol blue over the white unit, so that might help too while you're looking for info

I agree with pretty much what everyone else has said as well. The AI sol may be your best choich for the price and quality product. If you have questions about them, i should be able to answer seeing that I have had one over my tank for about 2 months or so.
