    im thinking i want an anemone after xmas i want to start reading up on the one i want ... i know about their general care but i cant decide on the kind i want.. i want a colorful one for sure. i have 4x54 t5ho lighting... i have a t.maxima thriving on the bottom. o yeah its a 55 gal. with 10 gal fuge

    I wouldn't get one unless your tank is at least a year old. A good beginning one is a bubble tip.

    its a year and afew months old now.... im not to big on the BTA they look to much like bubble coral

    IMO BTAs look nothing like bubble coral.

    they look similar to me they dont catch my eye like some ive seen.....as for the magnifica dont they get huge?

    Mags are great, but under the right conditions, can grow massively and take over way too much room (I recently sold mine out of my 75). I got a really nice long tentacle nem and sebae nem to replace the mag. THe sebae is awesome and my clowns love it (they didn't want anything to do with the mag, surprisingly). Some people don't like sebaes because they are plain white, but you kind find them in a cool pink or white with the bright purple tips that seem to glow under actinic. My LTA is brown with iridescent white strips...I will see if I can pull a pic to show ya.
