I have no idea which, or if it will fit in my sump or anything. LOL;D

I really dont know as to where to start. So Ill let you guys ask the questions and ill answer them? so we can get to the proper skimmer ( or me redoing my plumbing, or not getting a skimmer)..

    so i have a 20 something+ sump.

im not sure on the dimensions as this is an LFS made sump.

    its something close to what a 25gallon tank would look like. 24" x 12" x 20"
but maybe a a bit smaller in all ends.. more like a 22" x 10" x 20" or something like that. ( i need to measure it when i get home).

point is, i have very little space if any for a simmer to go in.

so, i was wondering it there is any skimmer that i might be able to use for that tank?
or do i need to redo my plumbing.

here is a paint pic of what it looks like...

so as you can see.. not really enough space ( sorry for the bad pic)..

so any ideas? or do i need to redo my plumbing if i really want a skimmer?

when looking at a skimmer you need to look at its foot print. the space it take with the pump can fit into your sump you should be good. You should also have enough room to be able to pull the collection cup off too. im not very familiar with skimmers but i hear octopus is a good brand.

If there's sufficient water in the sump, or you feel comfortable adding to the length of the pipes on a premade, you might be able to do a HOB, and hang it on the back of the sump.

Is a hang on the back skimmer an option for you? Maybe an inexpensive one until you can redesign a new sump made to accommodate a skimmer?

yeah try to measure the space where you could fit the skimmer including the height. also, awkward spaces could be used for the pump

the foot print is the area that skimmer takes up. so the dimensions required to have it standing in your sump.

well thing is.. I cant really buy 2 skimmers.. its one or nothing.. lol my mom is already pretty mad at me for buying so many things for it. that would cost me to much money.

Because of the way that the stand is designed ( i wasnt aware of this till i had everything set up)
its hard to put things in. not enough room. to push things in. ( kinda screwed since i already have my tank up and running).

at one point in time i considered placing a refugium in it but the space was an issue.. ( it will fit inside, but it just wont get INSIDE. if im explaning my self)

there isnt really that much water in the sump.. maybe 15G tops.. ugh.. i really hate that I wasnt informed of this earlier.
