ok ok ok. everyone make mistakes. how do you think i felt when i was feeding my anglerfish and the feeding prong went through him. its gonna be ok. get a heater that is rated for your tank or two that are reated for half your tank. two halfs equal a whole. make sure the water gets back to normal temp then test the water chemistry. if thats ok then go get a fish or two. everythings gonna be ok. i promise.

I am so sorry for your loss. Please don't be so hard on yourself. We have all made mistakes and sometimes our livestock has suffered for it.

I am glad to see that you are using this as an opportunity to make some changes to your set-up. Take your time with your changes and I am sure your tank will be back better than ever. Also, you might want to look into a controller that has an alarm when the temp gets too high. I am looking into one for my next investment.

    What heater did you use?

The ugly truth about this hobby is that most of us will kill a few fish in the beginning. Learn from your mistake, but don't let it crush your spirits too much. We have all been there.
