Hey guys, I was wondering if this will prevent water from leaking.

Oh, this is for my refugium.

    Thanks!

    side wall

Here, I am trying to cut the top 3 - 4 inches off the top and replace it with a acrylic sheet with holes for draining in my fuge. Am I safe?

    Thanks!

So when it does leak the water is not going to ruin anything?

That sux...I spend 2 hrs on cutting the glass and putting it together (most of it spent taking apart a 10gal tank and cleaning the silicon).

I have an extra 29gal, but i wanted this 55 gal fuge for my 125 gal tank...o, well.

Also, about the drainage on the 29 gal, I don't have drill bit and it's too much to get one. Is it ok to cut the top few inches of the side wall glass and replace it with a pre-drill acrylic sheet? Or it would leak eventually?

    Thanks!

sorry the image is so small...I can't seem to get it bigger without exceeding the max. image size.

Most glass shops will drill the glass for you. Cheaper than buying the drill bit and they do a great job. So since its a small tank bring it in and let them drill the glass. Thats what i did with my 120 gal and it worked out great.
