    Hello gang, This growth is on a small chunk of rock with polyps as you can see. I have had this in my Biocube and is now in the 55 gal. It doesn't seem to be intrusive or spread fast at all. It is Reddish-Brown in appearance. Any ideas what it is. Of course it resembles algae but is very bristle like and does not scrub off. Thanks in advance for your input.

    I believe that it's commonly referred to as "red turf algae."
