    Oh yea... I'm just reading your signature... You really shouldn't have an algae problem with the set up you have running. Especially with the RO/DI.
    I'm not too sure what triggered this off but the only thing I could suggest is, upping your CUC, adding a couple Nassarius Snails or black out the tank for a couple days.
    I'm not sure what caused the outbreak but hopefully someone else can chime in:-/:)

    maybe my cuc is weak. i really have nothing that stirs sand.

    Try addind the Nassarius Snails... They should eat it up...

    Dinos are actually red in colour. It is probably cyano, the nassarius snails should sort it out.

    Funny enough but both of my sea cucumbers eat the red slime. I have a black atlantic cucumber, and a tiger tail cuc.

    I get a tad bit of red slime in my 90 from overfeeding/ an area of lower flow.

    1+ red slime algae its just not that bad yet, siphon out as much as u can that helps to keep it under control while u firgure out whats causing it
