The one on the left looks like a nudibranch. The one on the right looks like a stomatella snail. Left, likely bad, right very good.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
It looks to me like they are both nudibranchs, quite common on newly cut wild gorgonians.

Since they seem to inhabit the pieces it's self, it may very well be part of their diet.

If it were mine I would leave them and watch them, I think it's a very cool find.

Get better images for us nerds please.

Here are some better pictures. The unknown purple hitchhiker has a hard shell . The fuzzy white stuff is very hard to get a clear photo of.

The little white ones are nudibranchs for sure.

The one with the shell I am guess it's probably a Cowrie type, but that is just a guess.

Maybe pagojoe will come along and solve the mystery for us.

Edit the title to include ID of snail and that will catch his eye hopefully.

stomatellas have shells, but it's hard to tell if that's what it is or not. Doesn't look 100% like the ones I have. That one looks like the shell covers the entire organism. Mine only have about 1/3rd of their body covered by shell.

I looked online and it looks like the purple creature is a simnia snail (purple) > sounds like they eat and lay there eggs on it . It is currently already laying eggs on it . Is theres anyway to cut the tips of the stems off where it has layed the eggs and not kill the coral? Also does anyone know what the white stuff is yet ?
