Amazing. My favorite wrasse!! I'm so excited for you. I can't wait for her to arrive!! I bet you can't either! :)

Sorry about your flame wrasse :( That is really too bad. And sorry you're missing your other female. Did you add a new fish to the tank after you added her and while she was out daily? Just wondering if you added a new fish that freaked her out. That happened to me with a very bold female wrasse. I added a dwarf angel that just freaked the heck out of her (even though there was no aggression) and she went into hiding for weeks until she died. :(

Do you still have people asking you: "Is this saltwater or freshwater?"

Happens to me all the time... I sort of laugh, and then I feel bad.

    Thanks John.

    Thank you much Cheryl. :)

    Sub-male, still transitioning.

Thanks Kacy. That's the part which is so frustrating to me. Yes, what you described is exactly what I'd expect with a fish continuously hiding. However, this wasn't happening through all of my observation. And I keep a close, paranoid eye on things with new fish. So I can't say for certain that it definitely wasn't happening, but I really don't believe it was. :(

    Occasionally, but most of my friends/visitors know I'm a reef-head already. :)

She's about 2.25". And I have big hands, but FWIW:

And she's already devouring mysis. :cheesy:

And while I was at, some of the tankmates, distracted by mysis inside the box. They go a bit crazy trying to get at it through the acrylic.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
How long do you think she will stay in the box?

Will the gang give her issues with aggression?

    she is beautiful.

2, maybe 3 days. I make that call based on how everything as a whole is going. But know one seemed to pay much mind to her today, so I don't have much concern about aggression. Interaction with eightline might be interesting, considering the similarity.

    Dan and Kevin run PIA.

    Thanks :)
