I did something stupid - again!!

    I just noticed this morning that the top of my big bucket of oceanic salt mix was not on the bucket! I don't know if I left it off on Monday when I made my 1 gal for the nano, or if one of my kids took it off (they all deny..., and it probably was me).

    The top layer of salt is moist from the humidity. Can I still use this salt (it's nearly brand new, and its the BIG bucket)??

    The moist stuff/hard stuff, will not mix quite the same and you will most likely get different SG readings with the same amount of salt, but the salt itself is safe.

    Next time remember the lid!
