I just got a CPR remora. I don't have anything to compare it to.... but I'm cycling (with mostly base rock from you actually :D) and it's already pulling out a lotta nasty looking foam. I havent even spent much time trying to set it up since it's still in the break-in period.

    Impressed so far!

If you're pulling gunk out then it sounds like it's dialed in and working. I've never had a remora before, but I've had other Aqua C products and they are solid.

Ya, though I am sure I can dial it in a bit better. But not a concern yet since I dont have anything in the tank :)

I believe the remora also can't over flow? This is good for a HOB, some will overflow and you may come home to find your tank on the carpet

The directions had a lot of stuff about steps to keep it from overflowing, so I would guess it can overflow.

I got mine with the drain from the collection cup, so I have that going down into a big jug... so it'll take a lot longer to overflow.

I say it whenever I can- you can't go wrong with a Bubble Magus. I have a NAC7 on my 90 gal. and it skims like craazy. It was $210 new. Runs silent, too.

thanks for the tip on the corallife. my friend has one that at least to me works really well, but I get that doesnt cover everyone.

Bubble Magus...I will have to check that out I haven;t heard of that brand yet. I am horribly behind when it comes to equipment...

i like their motto though :)
