i don't know what is going on but...

Coraline algae can be many different colors. If it is not slimey feeling to the touch than id guess it is in fact coraline algae. Although a photo would be helpful to make any sort of positive ID.

 

u might be right for sandbed i thought the same think but cutting the light wont help i guess. definitely i should reduce the temp. and green spots is not slimy but water is little bit greasy when i put my hand in the water and i couldn't take it out the green spots it is really on the rock like paint.

 

Either look into a Phos-Reactor or a UV filter. Luna

if i cut the light what about my clam and corals.? green spots every where even on my pump and back screen. and for a while i used purple up and after every water change stabilizer 5ml and blue essential vitamins from kent, but recently i stop using purple up.
