If you haven't already, make sure to test what will happen if there is a power outage. I can't tell where it is relative to the tank, but like luna and the devil (;D), I think that its way too full.

Let us know about your results-- using hang-on filters on a box sump is something I haven't seen.. creative!

Looks much like mine. - glad to know it is "getto-fabulous" - was always too embarssed to post pic. :-[

Always saying I am going to add a custom acrylic one day, but priorites never seem to allow getting to it.

Lower your water in tank a bit...5 gal bucket or so. Then shut off power to make sure enough space in sump to handle extra water when you add it back into main tank.

When you are sure you have left adequate room, make a mark on sump and only use enough top-off water to that point when power running.

Also...the salt and heat will make that plastic get very brittle over time. Plan on replacing every year to preclude a major disaster. I have replaced mine a few times now, and am shocked at how weak it will actually get.

    Good job.

OmarD, By the looks of your tank and corals yours is working great. I would love to see your sump pics. Embarrased, or, not your tank looks very healthy. And I always enjoy your pictures.

Hey Godbert, I also see a potential fire hazard with your power strip directly under filter and close to sump.
