I fixed my vacuum cleaner yesterday

    I am pretty proud of myself.

    I took the entire thing apart, cleaned it all out, replaced the broken belt, and now it works.


    I was pissed at the thought of wasting good money I could be spending on reef stuff on a new vacuum.

    The belts cost me about 4 dollars for 2 of them, so I even have a spare belt now. :)

    Nice job, BTW. It's very satisfying to fix something that most would not attempt. DIY rules!

    now - go treat yourself to something from the LFS :)

    +K for the FIY. i hate how places try to screw you on something simple just because they know how to do something. Best Buy was going to charge me $90 plus parts to fix the power supply on my desktop. 20 minutes of work a $12 chinese replacement and i was up and running. way to stick it to the man, Tom!

    excellent work on the vaccuum horkn. always best to try and fix 1st. satisfaction for the wallet and your tank. resoldered my daughters hair dryer last weekend . mostly because i could. lol.
