Sorry to hear bout your loss Matt. :( It always sucks when they find a way out of the tank even if it is covered as best as we can with the equipment that goes in it.

Good luck on the hunt for a new critter when time permits.

My Diamond jumped out the first night I had him, even with egg crate covering the top. Fortunately, he jumped right before I walked up for a morning feeding and got him right back in. He's been behaving well for 2 months now. A great fish with lots of character !

Sorry for your loss. How far was the spot where you found the goby from the tank?

haha, my goby jumped through my egg crate, landed on top of the egg crate and got fried by the lights.

Sorry for your loss Matt :(

Gobies are such cool fish with the best personality. I would be devastated if my yellow head ever jumped.

Matt - I have had 2 diamond gobies and the dragon goby and the diamond was by far better at keeping the sand clean. Not discounting the one that Blue Falcon has (I am sure he has one of the good ones), but my brother also got a dragon and had the same experience.

My diamond seemed to move all over the tank, whereas the dragon stayed in one spot. Could have been other factors, but I just wanted to share my experience with both gobies.

I have also had a diamond jump through a mesh screen as well. This is still one fish that I will always replace.
