    Good god, that's a lot of money for salt. I suggest you buy salt in bulk. Maybe get a 160g or 200g mix. It will come in a bucket. $40-$50. That's about $0.25/gallon.

    To sum it up, you're doing small water changes constantly, via your skimmer. Nothing all too unconventional about that.

    Man Im sorry that your salt costs you that much. I get instant ocean reef crystals for 12 dollars for a bag that is equal to 55 gallons.

    You're not replenishing trace elements by putting back water. You're likely letting it go anaerobic since there's no agitation, which lets certain bacteria eat nitrates and convert them to N[SUB]2[/SUB].

    So i should run a pump to give the water more oxygen and then add it to my tank ?

    Sound i put the top on the bucket to get less air ?

    No, you shouldn't be doing this at all. You didn't address the main issue, which is the loss of trace elements without replenishment.

    If i use a pump for 30min's for oxygen and supplement the water ?
